Unresolved Gaming Dispute Investigation
If you are a patron of a casino with an unresolved dispute with the casino operator, you may in specified circumstances request for the CRA inspector to investigate into the dispute. The CRA Inspector will consider your request if the dispute concerns your alleged winnings, alleged losses or the manner in which a casino game is conducted.
Pursuant to the Casino Control Act (Cap. 33A) and the Casino Control (Patron Dispute Resolution) Regulations 2009, the dispute is dealt with differently depending on the amount involved:
(a) If the dispute involves an amount of at least S$1,000, the casino operator is required to notify the CRA Inspector immediately. The CRA Inspector will then conduct an investigation into the dispute.
(b) If the dispute involves an amount of less than S$1,000, the casino operator is required to notify you immediately of your right to request for the CRA Inspector to conduct an investigation into the dispute. You must inform the CRA Inspector no later than 7 days after the casino operator informs you of your right. If your request for an investigation is not made within the 7-day timeframe, the CRA Inspector has the right to reject your request unless there are good reasons for the delay.
